The creation of a provincial health authority was announced following recommendations from Health Accord NL.NL Health Services is responsible for delivering health and community services to more than 528,000 people living in Newfoundland and Labrador and employs over 21,000 people.NLHealthServices.caJob SummaryApplications are invited for Diagnostic Imaging Technologist positions with NLHS-Central Zone for various sites/departments.Diagnostic Imaging Technologists perform responsible, technical diagnostic imaging services including producing diagnostic images which are interpreted by physicians and used in medical diagnosis. The successful candidate operates a variety of technical equipment to manipulate and annotate images, and may assist senior technologists and physicians in various and more complex diagnostic imaging procedures. Diagnostic Imaging Technologists are responsible for maintenance of equipment, quality control and practicing radiation safety measures. Successful candidates must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.Required qualifications:* Graduation from High School with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.* Successful completion of a program approved by Central Health.* Current and on-going certification with the licensing regulator.* Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision, and to use independent judgment.* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while providing client-centered care.* Consistent demonstration of the core values of NL Health Services: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I CARE)* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.* A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.Salary: Nape LX - Dependent on position and locationCompetition number: P-2023000866-TBDCompetition closing date: Open Until Filled
