Select trade subcontractors . Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates. Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors. Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements. Read blueprint, schemas and drawings. Select trade subcontractors and co-ordinate their activities. Plan and manage budgets. Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations. Prepare reports. Supervision: 3-4 people. Contractors. Staff in various areas of responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Working at heights training. Workplace Safety and Insurance Board¿(WSIB) clearance Certificate. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Project Management Professional (PMP). Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Construction specialization: Industrial, commercial and institutional. Area of specialization: Project management. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Reference required. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
