Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Rural area. Various locations. Heritage/historical site. Interpretive centre. Museum. Recreational or cultural centre. Tourism. Tasks: Assist in the research, handling and storage of artifacts. Assist with the planning and development of travelling exhibitions and special events. Conduct guided tours of museums, gallery exhibitions and historical, heritage and other sites, answer inquiries and provide information. Protect and care for cultural artifacts and collections during exhibitions, while in transit and in storage. Technical experience: Interpretation/guiding. Area of specialization: Cultural. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Initiative. Team player. Screening questions: Are you available for the advertised start date?.
