Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. Prepare flooring plans and scheduling. Prepare tenders and quotations. Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings. Prepare and install hardwood floors. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Estimate costs and materials. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Prepare floors for installations. Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants. Perform direct glue-down carpet installations. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Organized. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.- LocationBurnaby, BC
