Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Urban area. Boarding house/school. Elementary school. Private school. High school. Tasks: Counsel students regarding educational, career or vocational issues. Counsel students regarding personal and social issues. Consult with teachers, parents, administrators and community agencies. Co-ordinate the provision of counselling and information services to students, parents and teachers. Refer students to other specialized services when required. Develop guidance and counselling programs. Present the views of an association or organization to members, the media and the general public. Delegate work to office support staff. Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation. Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures. Perform data entry. Review and evaluate new administrative procedures . Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met. Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel. Willing to travel regularly. Travel expenses paid by employer.
