Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Select type of insulation required. Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation. Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs. Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools. Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods. Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
