Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Rural area. Heritage/historical site. Museum. Tasks: Operate audio-visual equipment. Prepare reports. Assist in the research, handling and storage of artifacts. Conduct guided tours of museums, gallery exhibitions and historical, heritage and other sites, answer inquiries and provide information. Protect and care for cultural artifacts and collections during exhibitions, while in transit and in storage. Technical experience: Conservation and restoration. Exhibit preparation. Interpretation/guiding. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Initiative. Judgement. Organized.
