Tasks: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces. Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Personal suitability: Reliability. Team player. Punctuality. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
