Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Assist during assessment of patients and carry out treatment programs and develop materials for use with patients. Assist health care professionals. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Set up and dismantle equipment. Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages. Clean and maintain equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Remove casts, sutures and pins. Connect treatment machines to patients, as directed by chiropractor. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Area of specialization: Physiotherapy. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Attention to detail. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Other benefits: Parking available.
