Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Install, maintain and service gas heating units and their components. Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment. Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices. Test and replace defective equipment or components. Convert motor vehicles or appliances to use other fuels (e.g. propane or natural gas). Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Gas Fitter Trade Certification. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Safety glasses/goggles. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Judgement. Team player. Screening questions: Are you available for the advertised start date?.
