Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Issue and receive books and library materials. Answer quick reference questions. Assist library users in accessing basic library materials. Reshelve books and library materials. Maintain classified collections (shelves shift, shelf-read). Provide lending services and facilities for return of loaned items. Perform routine clerical duties. Computer and technology knowledge: Word processing software. Library automated system. Internet. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Client focus. Excellent oral communication. Judgement. Organized. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
