Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Tasks: Promote sales to existing clients. Identify and solicit potential clients. Assess client's needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services. Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service. Deliver sales presentations. Prepare or oversee preparation of sales or other contracts. Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service. Conduct sales transactions. Prepare and administer sales contracts. Supervise activities of other sales representatives. Use sales forecasting software. Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates. Reach to clients after sale or signed contracts to provide ongoing support. Review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions. Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
