Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Adjust, repair or replace electrical system parts. Adjust, repair or replace mechanical system parts. Diagnose and isolate faults on engines. Document your inspection and tests made on engines. Estimate repair costs. Inspect and test engines to diagnose and isolate faults. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Review work orders . Adjust, repair or replace mechanical or electrical system parts. Instruct apprentices. Read and interpret blueprints. Perform scheduled maintenance and service. Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment. Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor. Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance. Install, repair and service safes and vaults. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail.
