Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Custom cabinet shop. Industrial. Tasks: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components. Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage. Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics. Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Safety glasses/goggles. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
