Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: In shop. Urban area. Repair and service establishment. Warehouse. Tasks: Clean and maintain office, supply area or warehouse. Identify, label and catalogue items received. Issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal use. Prepare and track work orders. Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies. Process incoming requisitions. Receive, unpack and sort incoming parts, supplies and materials. Ship, deliver or pick up parts, products or equipment. Store items in warehouse, tool room or supply area. Unpack goods received. Route goods to appropriate storage areas. Record shortages and reject damaged goods. Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents. Pack goods to be shipped. Oversee loading and unloading of goods. Maintain internal record-keeping system. Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents. Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments. Computer and technology knowledge: Inventory control software. MS Office. Internet. Spreadsheet. MS Excel. MS Windows. MS Word. MS Outlook. Equipment and machinery experience: Pallet lifters.
