Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Animal hospital. Veterinary clinic. Tasks: Keep records of animals treated. Pet clipping and styling. Supervise helpers. Assist animal breeders to handle and nurture animals. Clean animal ears. Maintain and order supplies. Clip animal nails. Monitor and document animal behaviour. Perform expert clipping on show animals with tools including clippers, shears and massage sponges. Perform dental cleaning on domestic animals. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Standing for extended periods. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
