Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Gather information on current government policies regarding recreation, sports and physical activities . Make recommendations on possible government policies related to recreation, sports and physical activities. Supervise professional staff, program leaders and instructors and volunteer staff. Conduct research and develop government policies related to recreation, sports, fitness and athletic safety and standards. Prepare research papers, educational texts or articles. Perform administrative tasks. Co-ordinate special events. Provide expert advice and consulting services in the design, development and administration of sports, fitness and recreation programs and activities. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Support for Indigenous people: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers . Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations .
