Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Installation. Urban area. Shop fabrication. On-site fabrication. Tasks: Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Calculate heating and cooling loads, design duct systems and select equipment for residential and small commercial construction. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification. Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Welding techniques: Gas metal ARC (GMAW) (MIG). Gas tungsten ARC (GTAW) (TIG). Specialization or experience: Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity.
