Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements. Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service. Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems. Prepare or oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment. Read and interpret blueprints. Organize and maintain inventory. Repair machine tools and parts. Perform preventive maintenance. Clean and make minor repairs to machines and equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime required. Repetitive tasks.
