Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Nursing home/home for the aged. Tasks: Administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects. Take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitore nutritional intake and conduct specimen collection. Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. Licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse by provincial authorities. First Aid Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Immunization records. Tuberculosis test.
