Tasks: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems. Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems. Diagnose faults and malfunctions. Provide customer service. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Perform other routine maintenance. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Service attachments and working tools. Verify and repair emission control systems. Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
