Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Dangerous. Wet/damp. Work setting: Urban area. Tasks: Supervise workers and projects. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Train or arrange for training. Set up machines and equipment. Estimate costs and materials. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Leading/instructing individuals. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently a student?.
