For existing PSD Continuing Teachers, it will be a 2 year term designation. For new Teachers to PSD, 2024-2025 will be a Probationary Contract and if successful in getting a Continuing, the position will extend into the 2025-2026 school year. Once the two year term designation is complete, the existing Teacher will go back to their home school, and the new Teacher will be placed into a teaching position at another school within the Division.<p>Duties and Responsibilities: Review assessments for eligibility (qualifications) and coding<p> Gather, review all necessary documentation for PUF audit submission<p> Provide intakes of new children to Parkland School Divisions Early Education program<p> Works within defined Divisional processes<p> Works collaboratively with other PSD departments towards the ultimate goal of Success and Well-Being<p> Consult with multi-disciplinary team members,Inclusive Education Leads (IELs) and Complex Needs Facilitators around delivery of specialized supports and services in Early Education and Kindergarten<p> Complete required division and provincial documentation, reports, and processes <p> Collaborate with the Division Principal of Wellness and Community Partnerships to effectively allocate resources and identify future needs<p> Networks with Division colleagues, school based support teams and community resources to support students and families<p> Nurture existing and possible future community partnerships<p> Contribute to and support the work of the Student Supports and Services Team <p> Update FB Early Childhood Services page<p> Collaborate with AHS SLP services around service delivery and assessments as well as screening<p> Coordinate and plan Parent Sessions<p> Coordinate collaboration with home teams <p> Work closely with the Early Education Complex Needs Facilitator<p> Manage technology for students and staff <p> Coordinate contracted SLP assessments for qualifications<p> Collaborate with the Division Principal over class lists<p> Attend CLC meetings <p> Coordinate therapy staff for Learning Team Conferences<p> Coordinate Team Meetings<p> Support occasionally in classrooms when absences cannot be filled<p> Other duties as assigned by the Division Principal Knowledge, Skills and Experience: <p> Minimum of 5 years of exemplary classroom experience<p> Effective use of time management<p> Excellent communication skills; both orally and in writing<p> Proven track record of ability to work as part of a collaborative team focused on developing effective, solution focused plans at the school and district level<p> Experience in facilitating professional development, coaching and/or mentorship for staff<p> Exemplary ability to build positive relationships<p> Understanding and demonstrated experience with action research and evidence based intervention strategies to support student with significant needs and best practices in Early Childhood<p> Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional learning such as PD, grad studies, etc<p> Models strong self-care practices and works to maintain a balanced lifestyleThi
