Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Tasks: Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment. Weld or braze components. Wind, assemble and install various types of coils. Read and interpret blueprints. Perform on-site servicing and repair. Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear. Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Ability to distinguish between colours. Manual dexterity. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Excellent oral communication.
