French Immersion and French vacancies are prioritized but other TTOC opportunities also available. <p>The starting rate for a Teacher Teaching On-Call ranges from $306.73 to $456.31 per day, with placement on the July 1, 2023 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. Additionally, TTOC's are paid $11.00 per day in lieu of benefits.<p>Posting Deadline: Open during 2023/2024 school year.<p>To join Abby Schools as a French Immersion TTOC, individuals must have the following qualifications: Teacher training with major practicum in French Immersion<p> Major/minor in French<p> Ability to demonstrate fluency in written and spoken French<p> Good spoken and written communication in English<p> Eligible for BC Teacher CertificationLearn more about a career teaching French in BC's K-12 sector at www.enseigner.makeafuture.ca<p>Teaching Competencies: <p> All teachers are expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of others in a tactful, compassionate and respectful manner.<p> Organization & Planning: Ability to plan and organize for effective instruction, differentiation and assessment<p> Classroom Management: Create and maintain an optimal learning environment for each student while managing student behavior and classroom dynamics.<p> Facilitation & Engagement: Ability to capture and maintain students interest, effort, participation and enthusiasm for both the content and the process of learning<p> Assessment & Coaching: Utilize balanced assessment and feedback to improve student learning including the use of formative and summative assessment strategies.<p> Collaboration & Teamwork: Collaborate with others to achieve group goals and objectives<p> Caring & Inclusiveness: Create and maintain an environment that is caring, inclusive and supportive of all students<p> Flexibility & Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in our ability to adjust and adapt to changing circumstancesWe wish to thank all applicants, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.- LocationAbbotsford, BC
