Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work site environment: Noisy. Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: In shop. Willing to relocate. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Food processing industry. Warehouse. Tasks: Co-ordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors. Complete and maintain station records, logs and reports. Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction. Assist during routine systems testing. Assist in locating and isolating system problems. Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair. Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities. Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally. Perform routine equipment maintenance. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Stationary Engineer 4th Class. Technical experience: Warehouse and storage facilities. Equipment and machinery experience: Alarms. Ammonia refrigeration. Central monitoring system. Compressors. Condensers. Generators. High pressure boilers. Valves. Area of specialization: Maintenance. Refrigeration. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Overtime required. Physically demanding. Sitting. Standing for extended periods.
