Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Generate maps and related graphs and charts. Maintain and manage digital database. Train staff. Maintain equipment and instruments. Process data to conduct basic analyses of trends. Write specifications and technical reports. Apply quality control procedure. Participate in field checks and verification. Inspect final compositions. Examine and interpret aerial photographs. Develop specialized computer software, Internet based GIS, database and business applications. Observe, chart and report on ice conditions in navigable waters. Perform data entry.
