Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Examine adult clients to assess hearing loss, recommend type of hearing instrument, take earmold impressions and perform follow-up examinations and readjustments. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Process files and paperwork. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licensure by a provincial/territorial regulatory body for Hearing Instrument Practitioner. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
