Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Manufacture. Tasks: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Forklift Operator Certification. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Overhead Crane Certification. Welding techniques: Laser. Equipment and machinery experience: Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Operate laser cutters. Area of work experience: Fabrication. Equipment: Single purpose production machine. SolidWorks software. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Medical exam. Drug test. Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime required.
