Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Clean work area. Organize and maintain inventory. Clean and maintain equipment. Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes. Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications. Select appropriate paint or mix paints. Tend automatic metal coating machines which convey objects through a series of cleaning, rinsing and plating solutions. Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings. Tend or operate equipment to spray or coat. Repair cracks and holes. Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted. Mix paint to desired colour and texture. Estimate costs and materials. Equipment and machinery experience: Thermal spray equipment. Roller painting.
