Tasks: Set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines. Operate gluing machines to glue pieces or wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces. Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand and splice veneer sheets. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
