Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Align, weld or bolt units in place. Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures. Unload and position steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Area of specialization: Assemble and erect metal buildings. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Manual dexterity. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Reliability. Team player.
