Inspect, test and repair cable signals and associated equipment. Determine nature, cause and location of trouble. Determine work assignments. Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets. Complete and maintain test and service reports. Read and interpret blueprints. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures. Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access. Technical experience: Fibre optics. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Ability to distinguish between colours.
