Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Interview inmates to assess adjustment problems. Prepare reports or case histories. Administrative and office activities. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Plan rehabilitation programs with offenders, establishing rules of conduct, goals and objectives. Implement life skills workshops. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Provide suicide and crisis intervention. Resolve conflict situations. Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety. Implement behaviour management programs. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions. Establish registry of special needs support workers. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
