The program extends learning beyond the classroom to allow students in risk situations the opportunity to be engaged in faith-filled, safe, and supportive environments. The Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations provide the focus for the various initiatives, projects, programs, and special events that identified student leaders and campers are engaged for eight (8) weeks (Saturdays during May-June). <p>Site Supervisor Responsibilities: Prepare and lead daily prayers that align with the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations<p> Plan, organize and lead the Saturday activities for children currently in Grades 1-8<p> Facilitate weekly and daily themed activities<p> Submission of weekly activity plans for review and pre-approval by FOY Coordinator<p> Responsible for organization of camp materials, supplies, and inventory for assigned camp(s)<p> Assist with initial and ongoing training of Student Leaders (secondary students)<p> Facilitate regular camp/site meetings with Student Leaders<p> Supervise and provide performance feedback and mentor student leaders<p> Prepare attendance lists and track attendance <p> Work with FOY Coordinator to schedule staff and monitor daily/weekly work logs<p> Oversee extended care, lunch supervision, parent pick-up/drop off<p> Attend all scheduled training Preference will be given to the candidate who possesses the following: Minimum 3 years of experience with children Grades 1-8 in a camp or educational setting<p> Experience in program planning and facilitating<p> Experience supervising staff or students in a camp environment or related discipline<p> Experience in youth mentorship<p> Effective communication and teamwork skills<p> Experience working with children and families from diverse cultures and backgrounds<p> Candidates with both camp experience and an educational background (i.e. OCT, recent completion, interest and/or working towards B.Ed.) <p> Standard First Aid/CPR Requirement: Criminal record clearance and vulnerable sector check prior to start of employment <p>Wage:<p>$25.00 per hour Duration: May 4 June 22 (Saturdays Only) <p>Last date of consideration: Thursday April 25, 2024 @ 4:00 p.m. <p>Please include the full posting title within the subject line.
