Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects. Interpret and document liquid penetrant inspection. Interpret conductivity meters and visual indicators. Interpret radiographs. Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards. Develop and interpret radiographic film. Set up, calibrate, operate and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Instruct and supervise trainees. Maintain test result reports. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CWB Welding Inspector Certification Level 1. CWB Welding Inspector Certification Level 2. Nondestructive Testing Certificate. Testing equipment and methods: Visual inspection. Nondestructive testing. Area of work experience: Construction. Hydro and utilities. Large pressure vessels. Mining and exploration. Oil or gas pipelines. Petrochemicals. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Accurate. Organized. Team player.
