Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Security and safety: Valid passport. Basic security clearance. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses paid by employer. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel cross-border.
