Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Analyze information concerning the petroleum and mineral reservoir. Assist in environmental audits. Conduct environmental audits. Conduct geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging or underground mine survey programs. Conduct or direct surveys or survey programs. Design measures to minimize undesirable environmental effects of mining and oil and gas operations. Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems. Prepare rock, mineral or metal samples. Supervise the preparation of rock, mineral or metal samples.
