Specific Skills
Wind, assemble and install various types of coils; Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment; Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors; Perform on-site servicing and repair; Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment; Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components; Perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators or other parts; Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance
Additional Skills
Weld or braze components; Instruct apprentices; Read and interpret blueprints
Own Tools/Equipment
Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding; Manual dexterity; Standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling
