College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years;

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)

First Aid Certificate; Cultural Awareness Training; Medication Administration Certificate; Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate; Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

Experience

Specific Skills
Obtain information and prepare reports or case histories; Implement life skills workshops; Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services; Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs; Conduct follow-up assessments; Resolve conflict situations; Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research; Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community; Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
