- Solutions Ambra, a telecommunications engineering company, plans to hire eight people within the next year. The company, which just opened its new facility in Trois-Rivières, has grown from 6 to 32 employees in three years. (available in French only)
- Quebec's ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur will invest $65M to renovate schools in Mauricie in the 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 fiscal years. The Chemin-du-Roy school board will receive $39M. (available in French only)
- Miniso, a discount chain, is closing almost all of its stores in Quebec. Only 4 of 13 stores will remain open (Place Alexis-Nihon, Carrefour Angrignon, Place Vertu and rue Sainte-Catherine). The number of layoffs is not known. (available in French only)
- Gestion Hestia will invest $16M in Trois-Rivières by 2023 in a residential complex called Domaine Cartier, which will have four rental buildings and a total of 90 units. The first units will be available in June 2020. (available in French only)

- A commercial strip in Shawinigan was converted at a cost of $3M into a complex containing a McDonald's restaurant, a Subway restaurant and a gas station/convenience store. About 70 employees will work at the complex, including 50 at McDonald's. (available in French only)
- Forest Products Mauricie in La Tuque is looking for maintenance engineers, production day labourers, electrical and instrumentation technicians, a sawmill supervisor and a planing mill supervisor. Forest Products Mauricie is a joint venture between the Coopérative forestière du Haut St-Maurice forestry cooperative and Resolute Forest Products.
- The new BMR Pro Pierre Naud hardware store opened in Trois-Rivières on September 16 after a fire in 2017. The business, serving contractors and renovators only, is hiring approximately 25 employees. (available in French only)
- Although three months behind schedule, construction of the new Colisée de Trois-Rivières is underway and is expected to remain within its $60.6M budget. The 4,000-seat arena is scheduled to open in September 2020. (available in French only)

- The expansion of Rito Mints towards the European market could create 25 jobs in the coming months. The Trois-Rivières-based mint candy manufacturer invested $22M in its reconstruction following a fire in October 2018. (available in French only)
- Groupe Résidences des Bâtisseurs is looking for 58 medical orderlies, including about 10 in Mauricie, for its seniors residences in Quebec. The company is counting on a recruitment mission to Madagascar to help fill these positions. (available in French only)

In total, 13 jobs will be created, including 6 client service agents and 2 network maintenance staff.Boucherie Nobert will invest $2M to transform the former Pâtisserie Chevalier in Shawinigan into a facility for the production of prepared meals.
